My favorite place to study is the self study room at academy. First, studying in an academy is quiet. At the study room, administrators always keep study room quiet. But at home, family members watch TV, and listen to music so it is noisy. I cannot concentrate at home, but I can concentrate well at the study room because it is quiet. Second, it is easy to manage my time at the study room. At the study room, bell which tells time to study or rest rings periodically. So I can manage time well by checking time to the bell ringing.

I’d prefer humorous stories that makes people laugh than serious stories makes people think. First, we can exchange many kinds of experience and stories. Funny things occur often in our daily life. So when we tell humorous stories each other, we can know about each other’s life. Second, all people can make sense about humorous stories. It is not as complicated as serious stories, because we do not need to think deep. So every person can enjoy humorous stories and join communication.

Sensory receptors detect changes in internal and external environments by physical bending and stretching. The professor gives cat’s whiskers as an example of sensory receptors. Cats have well-developed touch receptor and whiskers are one of the touch sensory receptors. There are 12 whiskers in upper lip and a few more on chin and cheek. It is planted 3 times deeper into cat’s skin and twice thicker than normal hair. The change in air current stimulates nerve’s ending and this nerve send image to brain. It can detect very slight motions such as air currents, so cats rely on that very heavily.

The man says that there will be a penal discussion about politics at lecture hall. The woman really wants to go but the woman has a meeting with her tutor at night. The man gives her 2 solutions. First solution is to cancel or postpone meeting with tutor. The second solution is to record the discussion on television and watch later. I think the second solution is better. The woman and her tutor will have really hard time to find the time that fits with the tutor. Also, the woman’s test is very close and important, so the woman should study for extra time. Also the man will tape discussion for her if the woman gets the equipment for recording.

Learning disabilities’ cause is abnormality in brain. Suffering these diseases cause trouble in concentrating. There are 3 cases of learning disability. The first case is dyslexia. In this case, suffering child have normal intelligence but have difficulties in reading. Child sees letters upside down or backwards. This happens because brain cannot send information clear. The second case is non-presence of writing skills. In this case, a child can speak and think well but cannot write or can write very slowly. The third case is hardship in long focus. This happens because of lack of brain ability to focus. Children who suffer this cannot control impulse. Learning disabilities can be treated but when not treated, can get problem in skills as math skills.

Mark,
I would score your Q1: 2 and Q2: 3.
In Question one, you make grammar and word choice errors equal to that of a level two speaker(ie. easy to manage time at study room) while your delivery is choppy and hesitant.
While you are addressing the question well, if you can't explain your ideas fully because you are lacking adequate English skill, then your Topic development score will suffer, too.
Q3: Score: 2 Mark, you are making a lot of grammatical errors as you speak, and also are having some pronunciation difficulty. You seem to have a lisp when tryign to say certain words. This is bringing your score down.
I've made corrections to your script below:

Third, in business, we should have a good reputation for writing reports well. We are required to have good writing skills to write good reports.
Overall score: 2/3 I'm debating on whether you should receive a 2 or a three for this. Your delivery is still a bit choppy and you are mispronouncing a number of words slightly but these innaccuracies don't greatly interfere with intelligibility. Overall, the grammar used in this response is somewhat simple but even so, most of what needs to be communicated from the lecture and reading is. Mark, don't forget that question 4 is a relationship question. As such, you must continually mention what that relationship is. Please see changes to your original script below:
